Application Process

Download application from ccwu website or request for prospectus within which application will be sent to you or collect it from university campus.

Completed CCWU Application Forms can be sent to the Admissions Office any time in the year before you intend to start study. However, although there is no set deadline for applications, you are advised to apply as early as possible as our courses fill up very quickly.

Receive an offer

Although we receive hundreds of applications for our courses every year, we pride ourselves on treating each person who applies as an individual and assessing them on their personal merits. We try to do this as timely and efficiently as possible, allowing us to make offers within a reasonably short time-scale. Sometimes we can do this based simply on your application. Sometimes we may need you to attend an interview or show a portfolio.

If you have not yet met the entry requirements (for example, if you are waiting to take exams or receive results) then you may be given a conditional offer. This means that we are happy to have you on the course, as long as you receive the appropriate qualifications.

Reply to the offer

You should confirm acceptance of our offer as soon as possible. Similarly, you should let us know as soon as possible if you wish to withdraw your application. This way other applicants are not denied a place or kept waiting unnecessarily.

Wait for your exam results

If you have received a conditional offer, you will have to wait for your results before we are able to confirm whether or not your grades are acceptable.

If your results are acceptable to us, then we will change your conditional offer into an unconditional offer. You will then need to confirm that you accept our unconditional offer.

Start your course!

A few weeks before your course begins, you will receive a Welcome Pack containing all kinds of information about the University and your chosen course. Please contact Course Enquiries or visit our website if you need details such as term dates, fees or registration arrangements before then.

Students from overseas should not attempt to come to the UK unless you have received and accepted an unconditional offer, or have accepted a place conditional only on attending one of the University’s English language courses before the start of the first semester.
