ESOL
(Skills for Life)
Programme is designed to accommodate learners who are identified as still in the
process of acquiring English as a second language; they may not speak English at
all or, at least, do not speak, understand, and write English with the same
facility as a native speaker. The course consists of three terms (9 months) to
achieve an English Language Qualification. The course is designed to cover all
the requirements of EFL (English as a Foreign
Language), ESL (English as a Second Language)
and IELTS (International English Language
Testing System).
Classes are taught by
qualified and experienced staff with the help of audio/visual aids and ICT.
There is also a dedicated hour for ICT (Information Computer Technology)
in
every course to get students familiar with the basics of computers. Basic
Numeracy and Literacy are also covered. British Citizenship resources form part
of every course. The course in taught at the following levels:
Beginners (ESOL Entry 1 / Entry 2) 3 days /
