The University provides an accommodation service for all prospective and registered full-time students. Applications forms for University accommodation and further information or advice may be obtained from the Accommodation Service. Students with disabilities who are intending to apply for University accommodation should write direct to the Head of Accommodation Service, in confidence, as soon as possible after being accepted by the University.

Physical Fitness

CCWC-London also encourages student to participate in both team sports and individual fitness regimens.

Events, clubs and activities:

There are international and religious societies. You can try something new or carry on an existing interest.

Private accommodation

Private accommodation in east London considerably cheaper compared London as whole. Since the cost of accommodation varies according to its location and the amenities provided, the following figures are given only as a guide. The figures are indicative and refer to 2004-05 and it is likely that these will rise in subsequent years.

Single room with shared bathroom and cooking facilities, £60 upwards per week. Self-contained flat for two people, £250 per week.

Single room in a hostel with some meals provided, £120 per week. Single room in a hostel with breakfast only, £90 per week.

The cost of accommodation in the private sector may not include heating, lighting and hot water, which may be charged for in addition your rent. Costs for accommodation for couples with children will normally be higher than these figures. Temporary accommodation in hotels, including breakfast but excluding other meals, is likely to cost at least £35-60 per day per person.

You must be prepared to make a returnable deposit against damage, ranging from a week’s to a month’s rent, and also to pay a month's rent in advance. You will normally also have to sign a contract for a minimum of six months. Although you will find cheaper accommodation in areas outside London, you should note that any savings might be offset by greater daily travelling costs.
